Phil Parkinson was announced as manager of npower League Two side Bradford City in August 2011. Early in his reign, he clinched the divisional Manager of the Month award, and for the 2012/13 season is looking to build on a positive final third to last year’s campaign.
The 44-year-old moved to Valley Parade following a three-year spell at Charlton Athletic. He has also managed Hull City and, memorably, Colchester United, for whom he earned an unlikely promotion to the Championship on limited resources.
As a player, Parkinson – a midfielder – made 361 appearances for Reading over 11 seasons.
