Having made almost 500 league appearances for a number of English and Irish clubs, Richard Barker was appointed manager of npower League One side Bury in April 2011.
A career spent in the lower leagues means Barker’s knowledge of the game is second to none, and he’s looking to further impart that knowledge on his Bury troops in the coming campaign, despite the club operating with one of the division’s smallest wage bills.
